When you are applying for a Digital Signature Certificate, you will need to prepare documents like an Aadhaar card, a PAN card, mobile number, an email ID, and organization documents like a business registration certificate, Proof of Authorised Signatory (List of Directors / Board Resolution), and Authorised Signatory ID Proof, etc., if you are applying as an organization.

A Digital Signature Certificate has a validity of 2 years.

Class 3 DSC: Used for GST, MCA, ITR, Tendering, etc.

DGFT DSC: This DSC is used only for importers and exporters (IEC).

A USB Token is a secure hardware device (looks like a pen drive ) used for storing and protecting the digital signature certificate from misuse, being copied, or accessed without permission.

  1. Plug the USB Token into Your Computer.
  2. Install the Token Driver (If Required)
  3. Open the Token Manager
  4. Enter the USB Token Password
  5. Check if the DSC is Available in the Token
  6. Use Your DSC for Signing

Yes, DSC is renewable. You can renew your DSC before and after the expiry date by completing e- KYC and verification.
